Experience
My tutoring style includes operating on two philosophies. The first philosophy is that practice makes perfect. I put this saying to use when I teach grammar, repetition is key. The second philosophy is that every piece of knowledge in school can be viewed as a tool in a tool belt. No matter how young or old, challenged or gifted, can learn how to use the tools they are given. I know from experience that anxiety comes from not knowing where to begin on a problem. I guide my students to the first step and walk them through the process. I have found that teaching students of all ages is one of the best experiences of my life. As far as experience, I have academic and professional experience both. I attended The University of Kansas, Johnson County Community College, and Washburn University. Right now, I am earning my Biotechnology degree. Originally, I had planned on earning my Aerospace Engineering degree but changed my mind. Most of my experiences are in science and mathematics, as well as writing. I am available to tutor in almost all S.T.E.M. classes up through high school and some college as well, in addition to grammar and English. When I am not tutoring, you can find me playing sports, playing drums, and video games as well.
