Experience
I attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where I graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics. I am currently in the process of enrolling into a Master of Applied Science program at Missouri State University for the fall semester of 2015. Over the past four years, I have been tutoring math and science. I have extensive experience tutoring algebra, statistics, chemistry, and physics.I have experience working with a wide range of students, from middle school students to university students in graduate programs. While teaching College Algebra is my specialty, Calculus III is my favorite subject to teach. I thoroughly enjoy teaching calculus because it has such an overlapping relationship with other subjects. As a tutor, my mission is to promote my student to think critically. Helping students memorize an answer to a specific question may help them on a test, but teaching them how and why we came to that answer helps them see the greater picture. This is a skill that carries over into all areas of academia as well as helps them grow professionally.Outside of tutoring, I love watching and playing basketball. My other hobbies include building and upgrading computers and playing my guitar.
