Now I am a Ph.D Candidate for Statistics at UMKC, the doctoral degree is expected in Summer 2014, GPA 3.85, passed Ph.D candidacy comprehensive exams (written and oral) at the highest score in the department. Master of Science in Statistics at UMKC, received in Spring 2012, GPA 3.9 Bachelor of Science in Math at Sichuan University, a tier 1 top 10 university in China, received in Summer 2009, GPA 3.5
Experience
Tutored in UMKC Math Center for four months from Sep to Nov 2009. Taught undergraduate courses in algebra, calculus and statistics as lecturer for three years from Jan 2010 to May 2012 in UMKC, and helped many of my students receive high score in the common final exam every semester. I had one year working experience lately at a local financial service company as a statistics and database analyst. I can also tutor on basic skills in SAS and SQL. Now I am a graduate research assistant, working with professors in UMKC on mathematical statistics research. My schedule becomes very flexible after I switched my emphasis from teaching to research. I would like to do some casual tutoring, since I still love teaching.
