I attended Southern Methodist University and University of Illinois at Chicago. I work as a fourth grade teacher. However, my affinity for teaching appeared in high school when I began to help younger students with an array of subjects. My calm and concerned personality helped me relate concepts to students back then and it does the same now. As a tutor, I like working with scholars of all ages and types. I like a variety of subjects, too. Some of what I tutor includes many math subjects like algebra 1 and 2 as well as science subjects such as different types of chemistry. I also know how to edit essays and teach general writing skills. I like working on grammar and mechanics as well as literature. I also understand Spanish and work with ESL/ELL students.I live in Kansas City, Missouri. Out of the classroom, I stay busy by cycling, hiking, and doing yoga. I also like to read.
