My name is Maureen and I'm a native of Kansas City, Kansas, with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Kansas State. I later lived in St. Louis and attended Washington University for my master's degree in Chemistry. As an undergraduate, I tutored students in Organic Chemistry, and also taught undergrad chem labs. I had many experiences teaching Chemistry while completing my master's. Besides Chemistry, I'm experienced and qualified to tutor Math, Algebra, Science, and Biology. I would also look forward to helping you or your student prepare for standardized tests, especially the ACT (Biology, English, Reading, Math, and Science), and the MCAT (Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Verbal Reasoning). I love teaching and tutoring, and I find special joy in helping students overcome any learning roadblocks, or meet a target test score. I'm a patient, dedicated tutor who will find different ways to explain a concept until a student really understands it.In my downtime, I love trying out Kansas City's many wonderful restaurants, or cooking for my friends. I practice Pilates and yoga, and I love having time to enjoy the great outdoors. Indoors, I spend my time reading, especially nonfiction books.
