When it comes to tutoring, I believe that my nine years (and counting!) of experience as a certified math, social studies, and English teacher gives me a distinct advantage. I graduated from Truman State University with a bachelor's degree in history, and I continued my education by earning a Master of Education from Lindenwood University. I've served as an educator in both elementary and middle schools, and I think that learning should be fun for all of my students. I work hard to make our time together enjoyable by learning about each of my students on a personal level and using that knowledge to help make the subject at hand interesting. As a tutor, I'm excited to offer my students assistance in a variety of courses, including elementary school math, middle school math, essay editing, grammar and mechanics, literature, reading, American history, European history, government, world history, AP Comparative Government and Politics, AP European History, AP Human Geography, AP U.S. Government and Politics, AP U.S. History, AP World History, geography, phonics, social studies, English, and general study skills and organization. When I'm not working full-time in the classroom or tutoring, I enjoy reading, writing about sports, watching movies, and traveling.
