I graduated from the University of Missouri, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, as well as a minor in Business. I attended graduate school at Rockhurst University, where I earned a Master of Education. I have been working as a middle school Spanish teacher for the past four years. I feel very passionately about language learning. As someone who grew up in Sweden, I have developed an appreciation for languages and culture.As a teacher, it is important to be patient and understanding. Ensuring the students feel more comfortable in the classroom is essential to helping them reach their academic goals. A key quality that makes a good teacher is being able to recognize that every student learns differently, and content must be customized to fit the student's needs and learning style.Along with Spanish, I tutor elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, English as a second language, reading, writing, and grammar. While I teach a number of subjects, I still enjoy teaching Spanish the most. I live in Kansas City, Missouri, and my hobbies include running, listening to music, reading books, playing video games, and watching movies. I also like to try different restaurants around my city.
