I am a tutor who has extensive experience working with students. I'm available to work with students who are struggling with biology, chemistry, reading, writing, European history, government, Earth science, environmental science, geology, English, social studies, and a variety of other subjects. I also teach English as a second language, and I'm here for any student who needs help with their public speaking skills! I received my degrees in Environmental Science and International Relations at Wheaton College. I began tutoring as an undergraduate student. I've worked with students abroad in Thailand, where I taught graduate students English, and I have taught a variety of subjects to refugees in the fifth grade. I also have tutored students from middle school through college in subjects like algebra, geometry, chemistry, and writing. I determine where my students' strengths lie and where they are struggling and then tailor our sessions together to their needs. I engage my students and try to create an interactive learning environment. I know that my students can succeed, and as a tutor it is my job to provide them with the right tools and techniques to do so. When I'm not tutoring I enjoy participating in competitive debates, studying forensics, and going on hikes.
