I am a tutor with extensive teaching experience who excels in the sciences. I'm available to tutor chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, physics, biochemistry, physical science, and other science subjects. I received my Ph.D. in Chemistry with a minor in Education at the University of Missouri Kansas City. While I was pursuing my Ph.D. I focused my studies on computational chemistry and biomaterial design. I earned my minor in Education through my studying of educational research, psychology, and statistics. I have experience working with students as a professor at the University of Missouri, where I taught organic chemistry and general chemistry labs. I've also taught introductory physics and chemistry classes at the University of Central Missouri to students who were not majoring in science. While it's important to help students with the subject material at hand, I also enjoy working with them to develop their problem solving and critical thinking skills. With these skills students can become better learners and go on to master other subjects in the future. When I'm not tutoring or studying the sciences I enjoy spending time in my garden. I also enjoy fixing up old trucks.
