Teaching is my life's passion. I have taught at the middle school level and high school level for more than a decade. My first experience teaching was working for the English Language Learners school teaching Literature to 8th graders. After doing that for 6 years I moved back to my hometown of Kansas City, Missouri and taught Literature at a local high school for 4 years. As you can see, I am pretty seasoned when it comes to teaching. I've been educating children for over a decade and I feel like I have 10 more years left in me. I can tutor students in Literature from middle school to college level and Math on a more intermediate level. A few of the subjects I can cover are Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Grammar and Mechanics, Essay Writing, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, and Pre-Algebra. I have a bachelor's degree in English Education from Colorado State University and a master's degree in Urban Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I genuinely want my students to succeed and I am an expert in my field (with the experience and credentials to boot). Outside of tutoring, if I have some spare time, I enjoy running, performing Bluegrass music, and doing yoga.
