I believe in tutoring students in a way that allows them to think critically, and understand how the concept they are learning relates to real life. I work to ensure that my students feel comfortable in their learning environment, because I feel that a positive atmosphere is the best way for learners to grow. I also believe that students should have their own unique thoughts and ideas, and work with them to maintain this attitude.I have been a teacher and tutor for a variety of students, including those in elementary school, high school, and college. I have taught a variety of subjects as well, from reading and vocabulary, to proposal writing and science experiments.I am available to work with students in Elementary and Middle School Math, Geometry, Algebra 1-4, Statistics, Trigonometry, Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physiology, Spanish, Psychology, Life Sciences, Math, Science, Languages, and Social Sciences. I also offer assistance in test prep, including ACT Math, ACT Reading, ACT English, ACT Writing, and ACT Science.I graduated from Drake University with a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Currently, I am studying at Northwestern University, where I am earning my Ph.D. in Life Sciences. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, play sports, watching movies, doing different puzzles and playing games, as well as spending time with my husband and dog.
