I am a mathematics major at Northwest Missouri State University, with two minors (economics and computer science). I am passionate about two things in life: God, and mathematics. Insofar as math goes, I love to help students understand the marvels and beauty that an understanding of mathematics can bring to one's daily life. I've worked with a variety of students to assist on this topic, both as a formal tutor and as a classmate. As my specialty is math, I am available to tutor a range of subject matter within the topic. This includes elementary and middle school math classes as well as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. My tutoring method helps the student to see the bigger picture. I believe that tutoring is effective when a student is allowed to find the answers in their own way, without too much interference on my part. I observe students as they work, and if they are struggling, I gently help them find the correct answer. My goal is for each student to understand not only how mathematics works but also why it works. I am passionate about learning new things, and I love to share this passion with others.In my personal life, I enjoy outdoor activities and hanging out with my family. I also like music, movies, and computer coding.
