EducationWashington University in St. Louis - BA, Biology , UMKC - MD, Medicine
ExperienceMy tutoring career started while I was an undergraduate biology student at Washington University in St. Louis. I found myself tutoring a wide variety of students ranging from middle school to college, in subjects such as algebra, calculus, biology, chemistry, and SAT and ACT test preparation. After I earned my bachelor's degree in biology, I worked in a neuropsychiatry lab prior to starting medical school in Kansas City. I've had a long academic career, and this is an advantage as a tutor because I've been required to take numerous courses in many different subjects. Since I have personally studied the material, I can help my students master everything from pre-calculus to the MCAT Physical Sciences. My teaching philosophy relies heavily on making sure to tailor the lessons in a way that ensures they can understand the material. In my free time, I like traveling, playing piano and guitar, singing karaoke, and working on my tennis game.
