-Certified Math teacher. - Experience teaching and tutoring for 5 years. - I know common misconceptions that students have about mathematical concepts and processes and am capable of diagnosing those misconceptions and fixing them. Students learn best when their teacher/tutor questions them and/or prompts them in order to lead them to the correct answer as opposed to just telling them the answer. It can be very frustrating for a student to feel lost in a subject, especially math because this subject builds upon previous topics. There is nothing I enjoy more than seeing the look of relief on a struggling students face when they finally understand/master a concept. I am very patient and do not get frustrated when I encounter a student that requires more time to pick up on a concept.
