I received a BA in Spanish and English from University of Missouri Kansas City in1982, earned a scholarship to study in the University of Madrid, Spain during the summer of 1982, Became certified to teach K-12 Spanish and 6-12 English from UMKC in 1984 (a lifetime teaching certificate), Completed my studies with an MA in Technology in Education from Lesley College in 1995.

Hobbies
I do paper crafting which includes making greeting cards and scrap-booking. I am also an amateur photographer and I love taking photos of birds, old farm houses, barns and nature in general. I love to read mystery novels and play card games. Traveling is a favorite hobby of mine and I have been to every state west of the Mississippi River, as well as Canada, Mexico and Spain.
